Meet Marissa! Owner, Head Baker and Designer
"It was my customers that truly inspired me to find ways to make them look as good as they tasted. As a self-taught baker I never had any training on making or decorating desserts. My customers would ask if I could make Minnie Mouse Cake Pops and I would say yes and just figure it out!"
Marissa has​ two beautiful children, loves to be active, is an executive in the SaaS industry by day and bakes a bit of magic into each one of her delicious creations every night. Initially inspired by her grandmother who started her own cake catering business, Marissa remembers some of her best childhood memories came from inside her grandma Char's kitchen.
"I ca​n remember licking off the perfectly crafted roses she used to make with frosting on the tip of my finger, the aroma of cakes spilling out of the oven and anxiously awaiting for one of her cakes to "flop" so we could eat the moist, gooey deliciousness of the flopped cake that she couldn't sell to custo​mers. I bet neither of us realized back then that she would be the first female entrepreneur to ever influence me. 20 some years later I started my own cake company and many other women entrepreneurs have continued to inspire me."
